First of all, we would like to say thank you for taking the time to visit our page. We are located in heart of the Central Valley in a small town called Salida, which is located in Northern California. We are about an hour and a half away from the San Francisco and Fresno area.
Here at Hansen Retrievers, our puppies are started with a focus in socialization, constant love, and a nurturing environment to ensure that they will have loving and easy-going dispositions. Our #1 goal is to provide a family with a loving companion. We fell in love with the Labrador Retriever for many reasons. To us, the Labrador Retriever is the All-American dream dog, they have loving personalities, but most of all they love their humans. Labradors are very easy going, loving, and an all-around make a wonderful companion. They will be a perfect match for any family and will make a great addition to yours.
We are not a kennel or a puppy mill. We adhere to high-quality standards and love our dogs. Their health is extremely important to us. Our dogs either live in our home with us or with Guardian families. We never need kennels to raise our dogs. Along with amazing temperaments; our dogs are also DNA/Genetically health tested and have their OFA Hip, Elbow, Eye, and Cardiac clearances done. We do all of this prior to ever breeding to ensure that our puppies will be healthy. Also, to give our puppies the best start possible, we incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation, Early Scent Introduction and use Puppy Culture and Empowered Breeder protocols, so that we are able to take advantage of early critical weeks in a puppy’s life and prepare them for their future homes.

We are a small in home breeder located in California. We are beyond proud that we get the opportunity to raise Labrador Retrievers.
We absolutely love our dogs and without them our lives just aren't whole.
We love raising puppies even more though! Having the opportunity to provide families with loving companions and give them the joy of having a dog in their life is truly what makes this experience much more meaningful.
